After leaving a 20 year design career at a major greeting
card corporation, I have moved my focus to nurturing my true creative spirit. Being smitten for years with mid-century modern design naturally led to the love of the art that complemented it. After years of being cooped up in a cubicle made my desire for individual expression is all the more intense.
I visited as many museums as possible and took books out of the library beyond what I could carry on the subject. Long evenings of art appreciation eventually started to evolve into my individual voice. I am now free to be at the pulse of my authentic nature and open to living into my full creative expression. I am intensely inspired by the works of the New York School Abstract Expressionism movement. I create art that is a modern extension
of this provocative art style.
In my work, it is my desire to invoke communion and inspiration in all of my pieces. I love line, composition, texture and true emotive action painting. I work in mixed media, always open to exploration and curious to what combinations would create a new fascinating piece.
It is so much joy for me to throw open the doors at both ends of my little studio apartment very near Lake Erie and let the magic happen. I plan to pursue my creative expression with purpose and be an earnest contributor to the art world, inspiring and touching the lives of many.
